Donor gifts allow us to fulfill our mission of providing exceptional health care for our community. Donations from patients, family, friends, and co-workers help us keep pace with the rapid advancement of health care technology. They help us provide medical care for people who can't afford it, supportive end of life care for those who are dying, and scholarships for local future health care workers. At the same time, donations help individuals and businesses create lasting tributes to important people in their lives. These gifts may qualify for charitable tax deductions.
Gifts For Special Funds
A general donation to Moab Regional Hospital will allow us to direct your contribution to the area that needs support the most at the time of your gift.
MRH Charity Care Fund
This fund was established to support the hospital’s ability to provide care for those who cannot afford the care they need. Moab Regional Hospital provides approximately $4 million in charity care each year.
The Health Profession Scholarship Fund
MRH is proud to support youth in our community who are seeking careers in the health field. The MRH Health Professions Scholarship is awarded based on scholastic achievement, commitment to community service, and a demonstrated passion for medicine and health care. The scholarship is made available to graduating seniors at Grand County High School each Spring.
Grand County Hospice
Palliative care is a way of caring for a person who has a life limiting disease. It is based on the understanding that dying is a normal part of life. These funds help our providers focus on providing quality of life by taking care of physical, emotional, social, and spiritual needs. It is also a means of giving support to the family and close friends.
Other Ways to Give
Through gifts in wills, life insurance policies with the hospital as the benefactor, and other such planned gifts, individuals can ensure that their charitable spirit lives on. Individuals of all income levels can maximize their charitable giving while strategically managing their finances. We would be happy to provide you with more information about the many benefits of planned giving.
Memorial and Honor Bricks
A charitable donation can be a wonderful, meaningful way to honor a special person:
- Families and friends have memorialized loved ones.
- Companies and co-workers have honored retirees.
- Gifts have been given on behalf of "the person who has everything."
- Gifts have been given to fund specific hospital services which have particular meaning to the donor.
Gifts of $250 or more qualify for a brick on our supporters' walkway and gifts over $1,000 receive a place on our donor wall.
